An unforgettable first journey across Zambia’s untamed beauty
For this incredibly special trip, I had the joy of planning a first-time African adventure for a well-traveled couple who’ve become dear friends. While they’ve explored much of the world, Africa was still untouched territory—and they were all in. Adventurous, curious, and completely trusting of the process, they gave me the freedom to design something deeply immersive, intentionally remote, and absolutely unforgettable.
We focused on two stunning but distinct regions in Zambia—each offering dramatically different landscapes, top-tier guiding, and that rare feeling of exclusivity you only get when you’re far off the beaten path. From walking safaris through cathedral-like ebony forests to sunset game drives that ended with a glass of South African wine and stories around the fire, every moment was intentionally crafted to reflect what they value most: authenticity, warmth, and the wonder of discovery.
Their love of good food and wine was woven in throughout—think open-air dinners under a sky full of stars, thoughtfully curated wine lists, and freshly baked bread waiting every morning by the campfire. Most of all, this trip was about connection—to each other, to the land, and to something much deeper that Africa seems to awaken in us all. And yes… they fell in love with it. Just like I knew they would.
